Overview

Palimpsest is a dark ambient concept album that explores the act of remembering by rewriting.
Each track represents a different chapter of loss—innocence, potential, companionship, hope, and finally, self—woven together as one continuous work.

Built from the same sonic palette that began with Spotless, the album expands that world into a complete story.
Fragments of earlier songs reappear later in distorted or reversed forms, like memories bleeding through new layers of experience.

The sound is fragile and evolving: long drones, filtered harmonics, and granular textures that fade, overlap, and quietly decay.

Artist’s Story

This record is the closest I’ve come to writing my life as sound.
Each track reflects something I’ve lost, and what remained after.
It moves linearly—beginning with innocence and ending with understanding—but every moment carries traces of what came before.

Spotless began as an experiment in erasure; Palimpsest became the reconstruction.
It’s about how memory rewrites itself, and how the act of forgetting leaves its own kind of mark.

Concept & Composition

A palimpsest is a manuscript that’s been erased and written over, but whose original text still faintly shows through.
That idea shapes the entire album: no sound is ever fully gone; everything lingers in the reverb, the hiss, the noise floor.

Each track is built from a shared sonic core—one evolving synth voice and a constant drone—altered by the textures of each memory it represents.
The music never truly stops; it just fades and returns, blurred but familiar.
